Day 1: Cusco – Paru Paru Community Village

Morning arrival to Paru Paru community village, where you will be welcome as brothers and sisters. After such a worm welcoming participate of a traditional potato planting/harvesting, depending of the season, dressed up in the local outfits and using tools as the ancient Inkas did use enjoying the view of a beautiful Andean lake and the local people pasturing their sheep, llamas and alpacas. Afterwards enjoy a traditional lunch prepared with local ingredients by local ladies. After tasty lunch take a one hour and half down walk to the community village of Amaru, where will settle into a local family´s house. Dinner at the house of your host family house.

 

Day 2: Amaru community village & Return to Cusco

After breakfast, you will be invited to accompany the villagers to collect plants and flowers, which are used as natural dying ingredients for coloring their alpaca and sheep yarns and then use them in their textiles. Be honor to participate and learn about this ancient tradition that had passed from generation to generation among these local families. Afterwards take a three hours soft hike to the incredible Pisaq Inka site to enjoy and learn about the history of this spectacular site. Before arrive in the Inka site have a farewell lunch at a local family´s house with a fantastic view.

Then return to Cusco.
